Woodpigeons are the largest pigeon species in the UK, closer in size to a chicken. Their personalities are shy, and they prefer to forage in green spaces over hyper-urbanised environments. Woodpigeons are a partially migratory species, meaning that some individuals migrate whilst others do not. Between late October and early November, flocks of thousands pass over the sky to Southern Europe.
